Max Tannone continues his streak of awesome mash-up albums with his newest release, Mos Dub. At the title suggests, this is a mash-up of the work of Mos Def with reggae and dub songs. Like his previous mash up project, Jaydiohead, Max Tannone�sMos Dub doesn�t sound like a mash-up, and I mean that in the best possible way. It�s as if the original songs were created for the purpose of putting together this album. Each song is seamless.

This album recounts, in choppy strains, the truth and speculation surrounding how Falco are doggedly followed by the narcotics trade, through no solicitation of their own. The cover features masks made specially for the duo by Jill Lorinson - Falco always wear these to play. Two further masks, originally made for Rhodri Davies and Adam Parkinson, are available for guests to don in solidarity when collaborating: most recent among such performers include David Stacken�s, THF Drenching and Bernhard Garnicnig.

This piece is based on Edoheart's poetry as Eseohe Arhebamen. It was conceived and recorded as a free-improvisation work at a studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York. The distortion comes from the two toy pianos that Edoheart plays simultaneously and her vocal humming. The underlying piano playing is inspired by Michael Scott's piano work, "Beneath The Lake". The cover art is a painting by Eseohe Arhebamen that has been inverted and converted from red to blue. Edoheart is a singer, dancer / choreographer, musician, poet, visual artist, performance artist and a princess of the Edo people.

"Nine days of Winter" is an album of spontaneous, minimalist music for piano. By mid february my piano was to be tuned, and each time that happens I think that is a waste not using that days in which the piano keeps an almost-perfect tuning to record something. As I had no new stuff for piano, I decided to call my friends and fellow musicians from Madrid to meet during 9 days just to play, create spontaneous music and record everything, in order to publish the music later.
Unfortunately, none of my friends could join me for that nine days, so I decided to play and record them myself. The process took place between the 20th and 28th of February, days of cold weather, rain, wind and snow here in Madrid. This album is the result of that nine days of winter, a disc of melancholic, intimate, minimalist music. The songs are all improvised as they were recorded just while the music was being played, directly in first takes. Hope you'll enjoy it. The cover pic is the work of my good friend and best photographer Diego Sevilla.

The Ragga Jungle style is credited with engaging the black community within the Jungle scene, and contributed to the 'bad boy' or 'rude boy' subculture within the UK. Ragga Jungle's popularity waned significantly since 1995 in the UK. Ragga Jungle is now a niche sound, with a small number of labels releasing music that can be categorised in this manner. Prominent producers of this new-school sound are continuing to build bridges, often re-voicing classic reggae singers to produce new works for exclusive use (as "Dubplates") and retail sale as 12" vinyl singles and downloadable mp3's.

Inocencia (Innocence) is my fourth studio album, a conceptual set of pieces intended to be listened as a whole. The concept is both musical and philosophical and is inspired by a specific book (I hope you can guess which one). For this release, I have decided to get away a bit from the minimalism of my previous releases and play more with post-romantic compositions, electronic, circuit-bending, noise and even some IDM.
Some friends helped me in the release of "Inocencia", namely Sergio Trujillo (from my other band N�no) recorded violin on many tracks, and Mariam Yakan (visit her blog http://mautomata.blogspot.com) is in charge of the graphical art, cover design and booklet. A special thanks goes to both of them. I would also like to thank Fran for recording piano and inspiration in "Estoy solo, contest� el eco".
