This song is a reworking of the Ukrainian Carol of the Bells, also known as Shchedryk. It is a New Year's blessing. From wikipedia: "Shchedryk (from the Ukrainian word shchedryi; "bountiful") is a Ukrainian shchedrivka, or New Year's carol. It was arranged by composer and school teacher Mykola Leontovych in 1916, and tells a story of a swallow flying into a household to sing of wealth that will come with the following spring. Shchedryk was originally sung on the night of January 13 (Old Style), which is Shchedry Vechir (Ukrainian: ?????? ???i?, "Bountiful Evening") to Ukrainians, New Year's Eve by the Julian Calendar."

The percussion is by Gbera (Catherine Barnes). The vocals are by Edoheart (Eseohe Arhebamen). The mix and production are by both girls, Edoheart & Gbera. Edoheart lives in the East Coast, USA and Gbera lives on the West Coast, USA. We made this work entirely via the internet without meeting in person. The cover image is a drawing by Seth Yamasaki. The cover design is by Edoheart. We wish the whole world peace and love in the coming year.

Oto�o is an album of melancholic, intimist, minimalist music for piano. It has been recorded entirely of live improvisations, during 6 days of the fall of 2010, just as the music emerged from the forests of my mind to my fingers. It is an album of direct, sincere, quiet music to linger over. It is a double album of almost 100 minutes in length. I would like to thank Sergio Trujillo for recording some violins, and to Dobroide for some of his samples.

NEPCHYL consists of five progressing movements involving a wide range of dark wave patterns and periodic impulses, embedded into paraneoplastic ambiences and abandoned pyogenic organisms. Potential voltage-impact of pulse-wave encephalopatia and cluster-forms of high amplitude-drones.

Yuriy Yaremchuk is both a composer and an instrumentalist; he plays tenor-sax, soprano-sax, clarinet, percussion, piano; he is a master of voice performance as well. He is working in different genres (free jazz, contemporary music, improvised music), contemporary technique of sax play (multiphone, slap, double staccato). He can be recognized by his bright sound and brisk technique; in his solo concerts he prefers free improvisation with the use of contemporary playing technique.
His music has sufficient rhythm and melody; it is full of humor and philosophy. Yuri Yaremtchuk wrote music for theater, participated in numerous avant-garde performances with artists, actors and modern dancers.

Ilia Belorukov is a saxophonist from Saint-Petersburg, Russia. He works in the direction of improvised, noise and electroacoustic music. Ilia practices an experimental approach of sound extraction on alto saxophone & fluteophone.
He�s member of many projects (Wozzeck, Wooden Plants, Les Phares, Dots & Lines, Punktieren etc.) He collaborates with musicians of other genres (from hardcore to academic contemporary music), with dancers and painters, with theater.

There's reason to believe that chloroform and lemon juice are as necessary as coma for extrasensory perception. The Synthi Group returns for part three of their EMS analog music series. Unlike the first two releases, this edition was recorded with a specific theme in mind and with parameters of limitation. The artists appearing on volume three were asked to create ambient soundscapes using EMS equipment ONLY. No other musical gear was used in the creation of this compilation.

Sit back, plug in some headphones and be enveloped by the atmospheric aurality that these fine instruments offer under conduction of experienced adepts. The modulations crafted here are meant to accompany the listener on a voyage one could easily take during sleep, a walk communing with nature, or with a focused ritual. Has Joxfield ProjeX become a Big Band with all these guests? And is this The White Album of Joxfield ProjeX? The answer is No on both questions. When we were about to start our new recording sessions in 2007 we had decided we wanted to bring our music into territories where we had never been before. To do so we wanted to involve other people and asked around amongst artists we liked and respected and to whom we could direct a mission - contribute to our music in an open-minded and creative way. Most of those we asked generously brought their inspiration to us and went into the project, sometimes for a specific track, sometimes for many of them.
Very quick we realised it was a huge project and when it all was finished we had about 2� hours of music we didn�t want to split up. That�s why it�s a 3 disc set. The variation of the music is the variation of our minds, that�s how we are. For those who care Disc A - Abstract Numbers is maybe a bit introvert, reflective and the Discs B & C - Concrete Letters A-Z might seem extrovert, a little bit more easy-going.
Most of the music is recorded in 2007 with lots of additional recordings, editing and treatments in 2007 - 2010.

Joxfield ProjeX is still the duo Oax and Yan playing their instruments, programming stuff, adding whatever they find reasonable to add, edit and treat.
What about the guests? Most of them do have a long and deep history of success with various bands etc, but instead of fooling both you and them and pretend this music here sounds like anything what they�ve done with those constellations we suggest you check �em up by your own.

�Intense� is probably the word most frequently used to the describe the Gaslamp Killer. His Gaslamp Killers mix helps to explain why � it�s a deranged and blunted jag full of psychedelic beats, trip hop, and creepy vocal samples. Flying Lotus recently called this his favorite mix of all-time, and after that, the recommendation seems superfluous. This is an old mix consisting of older parts, but like all great mixes it sounds brand new. Playlist features various artist from very diverse horizons such as Jazzanova, Pete Rock, Radiohead, Company Flow, Mr Oizo, Dj Krush, Sixtoo or Porishead.

J-Live - First Things First Vol3

This is the latest installment of the mixtape series "First Things First". Like the previous two, Volume 3 is a mix of quality hip hop, both old and new. All of the songs are the first real song on their respective albums. As always, "skits and interludes not included". First Things First Vol 3 is both mixed and hosted by DJ J-Live, with assistance and guest drops from super producer J-Live, and emcee extraordinaire J-live. While they were busy plugging their new 6 song EP "Undivided Attention" (on vinyl and digital November 2nd) they also took time out to correct a mistake made on Volume 2. A view from the forest is a collection of short and longer improvisations. Using subtle rhythms and spare instrumentation I have aimed to create an interesting and peaceful sonic environment. The improvisations attempt to create a complex harmony utilizing as little musical expression as possible.

Max Sipowicz manipulates sound. Blending layer upon layer upon layer upon layer of sound, he creates a musical environment which surrounds and captures the listener at the most intimate level. Often dancing between a primitivistic, stripped back sound and an amalgamation of noise. A captivating performer, he feels his music is best presented in small, intimate venues, where he can have absolute control over the soundscape.

The Rub has been doing the world an undeniably necessary public service in recording their The History of Hip-Hop series of weekly mixtapes. They're unsurprisingly excellent: impeccable selection, flawless mixing.

My favorite thing about these mixes is the fact that hearing hip-hop's finest grouped not by region or style but by year means that every record is uniquely contextualized. They all fit together in a way that I'd forgotten from my ever-advancing vantage point. They are of a piece, just like they were when you lived through them
